CapCut, formerly known as JianYing (剪映), is a Chinese short-form video editing app developed by ByteDance, the parent company of TikTok.
The CapCut Creator Program allows creatives to produce engaging and eye-catching videos for all types of media usage, primarily focused on social media. These videos can be adapted beyond TikTok and used on Instagram, Facebook and other SNS platforms. In a variety of dims, video templates can also be scaled for professional use, events and personal hobbies.
I'm a member of thee official Creator Programs: Elite (high-level for technically-skilled creators), Innovator (lifestyle content production), and AI transformation (artificial intelligence).
I have done design work for brands (Dreamworks Animation film studio, see below) and for a non-profit I co-admin. My non-profit work, for the anti-bullying and anti-defamation project I launched, went viral in 2024. It led to the launch of a mental health and wellness project I spearheaded, in addition to OOH banners and other viral related content.
My Creator Profile is here.
I was hired by Pretty Big Monster, a Dreamworks creative agency, to create two CapCut templates for the animated film "Dog Man."
In both my templates, the individual elements were all imported from Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop and Illustrator and the templates were fully built-out in CapCut. The audio is custom to the film, and adjusted for quality in CapCut directly.

Video Editing and graphic design have been passions of mine since I was a teenager. While I'm a Creative Director, I'm a Creative Director of Copywriting, not Art. To be recognized for something I do that I genuinely enjoy is incredible. I'm so very grateful.
I was recruited to the CapCut creator program by someone (Hi Jeremy!) who placed me into three of CapCut's sub-programs (Elite, Innovator and AI) where I create lifestyle templates for the things I enjoy.
Being in the CapCut Creator program has afforded me so many opportunities that I never thought would be possible. I've guest lectured at universities, been on panels with my peers, and taught a Master Class. I've also had *incredible* professional projects come my way. My content has gone viral multiple times now, some of which was for an anti-bullying and anti-defamation project I was a part of. My work has been shown in other countries, and because of that exposure, it gave the mental health and wellness project I just launched more visibility. I've had people reach out to me with their own personal stories telling me how my content helped them, gave them hope or simply made them smile. CapCut has been a huge part of my journey, and an integral part of this Chapter in my life.
I'm grateful, humbled and I feel so lucky. 🤗
